Professionally sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS), the competition features prizes awarded in the four traditional categories: Chicken, Ribs, Pork, Brisket.
The Master Series is for those that want ultimate bragging rights, professional chefs and businesses to apply and compete in. Think you’ve got what it takes?
The Master Series Competition will be hosted on SATURDAY, July 22nd, 2023. Competitors can arrive on-site for set-up on Thursday evening or early Friday morning and will remain on-site until after the awards ceremony on Saturday. Please familiarize yourself with the KCBS competition rules prior to applying. A barbeque team information guide will be made available for further reference.

To attend the competition as either a Judge or Team participant, it’s important to know the rules of this cookout. Review the rule-set for the category that you or your team plan on competing in. If there is enough interest, we will hold a judging class the day before the event.
